Caring for Your Reef Shoes & Apparel at Splash Swimwear

Reef sandals, shoes, and apparel are designed for adventure—whether it’s the beach, the pool, or everyday wear. To help your Reef gear last longer and stay comfortable, follow these simple care instructions.

Footwear Care

Textile & Synthetic Sandals and Shoes

  • Use a dry, soft-bristled brush or cloth to remove dirt and sand.

  • Mix a small amount of mild laundry soap with warm water.

  • Dip a sponge into the solution and gently clean the surface.

  • Rinse the sponge with clean water and wipe away excess detergent.

  • Allow to air dry in the shade at room temperature—never in direct sun.

Leather Sandals and Shoes

  • Remove dirt with a soft brush or dry cloth.

  • Clean leather surfaces with saddle soap or a leather cleaner/conditioner following the product instructions.

  • Never wash Reef shoes in a washing machine or place them in a dryer, as heat and harsh cleaners can damage the material and adhesives.

  • Avoid bleach or strong chemicals.

Apparel & Accessories Care

Knits, Fleece & T-Shirts

  • Machine wash cold with like colours.

  • Remove promptly from washer.

  • Only non-chlorine bleach when needed.

  • Tumble dry low; cool iron if required (avoid ironing prints/logos).

Jackets, Woven Tops, Walkshorts & Pants

  • Machine wash cold with like colours.

  • Non-chlorine bleach only if necessary.

  • Tumble dry low; cool iron if needed.

  • Do not dry clean or iron decorations.

Boardshorts

  • Machine wash cold with like colours.

  • Hang dry only.

  • Avoid ironing and dry cleaning.

Rashguards

  • Hand wash cold.

  • Do not bleach.

  • Drip dry in shade.

  • Do not iron.

Surf T-Shirts

  • Machine wash at 30°C.

  • Wash dark colours separately.

  • Do not bleach.

  • Tumble dry low; cool iron if needed.

  • Do not dry clean.

Beanies

  • Machine wash cold with like colours.

  • Use non-chlorine bleach if needed.

  • Lay flat to dry.

  • Do not iron or dry clean.
