Do you have DD+ and curvy options?

Absolutely! Brands like Seafolly, Artesands, Capriosca, and Jantzen specialize in DD+, E, F cup, and plus-size fits.
“Flattering fit, amazing support and shaping for a DD cup. Comfortable, true to size.”“Artesands swimsuits don’t dig in—they fit softer on my curves and really boosted my confidence.”

Can I get a fitting in store, or help online?

Our staff are trained swimwear fit specialists. Visit us, call, or chat live—real people will help you choose.
“I was nervous about trying on swimsuits, but the staff made me feel comfortable and made sure I found the right fit.”

How do I find the perfect swimwear size?

Start with your regular clothing/bra size, but always check individual brand charts—swimwear sizing can differ. Many shoppers find going up a size improves comfort, especially for fuller coverage or long torso styles.
“I’m between sizes and went for the larger—fits perfectly and feels supportive.”

What’s the difference in fit for long torsos or athletic shapes?

Opt for adjustable straps or tankinis for tall bodies—try Sea Level and Capriosca “long” styles. Athletic frames flare with side ties, bold prints, or ruched designs that add shape.

Product Care FAQs

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

How should I care for my swimsuit?

Rinse in cold water after each use. Hand wash or gentle machine wash with mild detergent. Never tumble dry; always air dry in shade. Avoid bleach or soaking in heavy chemicals.
“The material feels beautiful and lasted much longer when I followed the care instructions.”

  • Gentle wash, separately in cool water. Use mild detergent
  • Do not wring, soak or bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Drip dry in shade
  • Rinse thoroughly after use
  • The highest quality fabric dyes are always used however some colours may fade over time
  • Some colours will fade more than others when exposed to sunlight and chemically treated water
  • High amounts of chlorine will damage your swimwear.
  • Neutralize any residual evidence of chlorine by rinsing in cold water after use
  • We recommend you do not wear your swimsuit in spa baths or saunas, as it could cause damage
  • Fake tanning products and some sunscreen lotions may mark and damage swimwear. We recommend taking extra care when using these products and always ensure they are completely dry before they come in contact with your swimsuit
  • Avoid contact with rough surfaces as this may cause pilling to swimwear
Are your swimsuits chlorine resistant?

Many styles from Speedo, Sunseeker, and Capriosca offer chlorine resistance—perfect for lap swimmers or regular pool-goers.
“My Speedos lasted through weekly swim lessons for three months until my child grew out of them!”

Do sunscreens affect my swimwear?

Chemicals such as chlorine, sunscreen, perfume, deodorant, tanning products, and perspiration can all contribute to staining and premature ageing of your swimwear. To help protect your swimsuit, we recommend always applying sunscreen before putting on your swimwear and allowing it to fully absorb into the skin to minimise transfer.

Got stubborn sunscreen stains? Don’t worry—check out our blog Sunscreen & Swimwear: Care Guide & FAQs for step-by-step tips to keep your swimwear looking fresh and vibrant.

How Do I Care for My Period Swimwear?

One of the best things about period swimwear is how simple it is to care for. To keep your Love Luna or Funkita period swimwear in great condition:

  1. Rinse after use – Hold your swimwear under cold running water until the water runs clear. This helps remove any absorbed fluid, chlorine, or salt.
  2. Wash with care – Place your swimwear in a wash bag and machine wash on a cold cycle (30°C max) using a mild detergent.
  3. Air dry only – Hang to dry in the shade. Avoid using a tumble dryer, bleach, or fabric softeners, as these can damage the protective layers.

By following these quick and easy steps, your period swimwear will stay fresh, hygienic, and ready to support you swim after swim.

Body Fit & Style FAQs

What styles best flatter curves or full busts?

Look for underwire, molded cups, ruched panels, halter tops, and high-waisted bottoms. Artesands and Seafolly offer superb options for curvy and DD+ shoppers.
“After having a baby, a DD underwire style gave me back my confidence.”

Which suit works for tummy control or shaping?

Choose styles with powermesh fabric, tummy-control lining, and wrap/surplice designs. Artesands and Capriosca specialize in comfortable body-sculpting swimwear.
“Powermesh lining sculpts without digging in—so comfortable and smooth!”

Are there styles for tall/athletic/petite?

Yes! Tankinis, adjustable straps, high-leg cuts, and vertical prints help flatter every frame. We stock long torso designs and petite-friendly cuts.

Swimwear Features & Materials

What are removable cups and why are they useful?

Removable cups are soft foam inserts that sit inside the hidden pockets of certain swimwear styles. They’re designed to give you flexibility and choice in how your swimsuit fits and feels.

The benefits of removable cups include:

  • Versatility: You can remove the cups to allow more room for a fuller bust, or keep them in for a structured fit.
  • Shape & Support: With the cups in place, you’ll enjoy a smooth, flattering silhouette and added modesty.
  • Customisation: Whether you prefer a natural look without padding or extra shaping with the cups, you can adjust your swimwear to suit your style and comfort.

With removable cups, you can decide exactly how much support and coverage you want—making your swimwear adaptable for any occasion.

What is the difference between a soft cup and a moulded cup?

Both soft cups and moulded cups are stitched directly into swimwear and are not removable, but they offer slightly different benefits in terms of fit and support.

  • Moulded Cups:

Made with thinner, more structured foam.

Provide a defined shape and light support.

Designed to fit a wider range of bust sizes, making them common in multifit swimwear styles.

Help create a smooth silhouette under fabric.

  • Soft Cups:

    Slightly thicker and more flexible.

Conform gently to the bust for a natural, flattering look.

Offer shaping without the same level of structure or support as moulded cups.

Great for those who prefer a softer, more relaxed fit.

👉 In short: Moulded cups = structured & versatile fit, while soft cups = gentle shaping & comfort. Both are excellent options depending on your preference for support and style.

What fabrication is 100% chlorine resistant?

If you swim in a chlorinated pool almost every day, the best choice is 100% polyester swimwear. Polyester is the only fabrication that is truly chlorine resistant, meaning it will stay durable and keep its shape with frequent exposure to pool chemicals.

Swimwear made with elastane (spandex/lycra) is not chlorine resistant. While it may feel softer and stretchier at first, elastane fibres break down quickly in chlorinated water, causing fading, sagging, and loss of elasticity. For daily pool swimmers, it’s best to avoid elastane blends and stick with chlorine-resistant polyester styles designed for long-lasting performance.

At Splash Swimwear, our chlorine-resistant swimwear collection is made with 100% polyester, giving you reliable durability, colour retention, and comfort—perfect for lap swimming or aqua fitness

Where can I wear my swimwear?

When choosing the right swimwear, it’s important to consider where you’ll be wearing it most often:

  • Beach days & home pools → You can choose from any of our swimwear styles.
  • Regular lap swimming in a home pool → Opt for pool-friendly fabrics with polyester blends, which will last longer than standard nylon styles.
  • Frequent swimming in commercial pools or spas → Choose 100% polyester chlorine-resistant swimwear for maximum durability and colour retention.

No matter where you wear it, always follow the care instructions to keep your swimsuit looking fresh, supportive, and comfortable season after season.

What is Powermesh Technology?

Powermesh is a lightweight yet strong internal lining designed to provide extra support and comfort in swimwear. Smooth against the skin, this innovative fabric gently shapes the body and often delivers a flattering slimming effect without compromising on flexibility or ease of movement.

At Splash Swimwear, many of our swimsuits feature Powermesh panels for added tummy control and body confidence.

How Does Period Swimwear Work?

Period swimwear is specially designed to give you confidence and comfort in the water during your period. It looks and feels just like regular swimwear, but features innovative leak-proof technology to help prevent accidents.

Most styles combine multiple layers:

  • A moisture-wicking layer to keep you feeling dry.
  • An absorbent middle layer that locks in leaks.
  • A waterproof outer layer to prevent staining.

At Splash Swimwear, we stock Love Luna and Funkita period swimwear. Both brands offer thoughtfully designed pieces that are practical, stylish, and suitable for light to moderate flow.

How Much Protection Does Period Swimwear Offer?

Love Luna and Funkita period swimwear can absorb up to two teaspoons of fluid (around the same as two tampons). This makes them a great option for light to medium periods, for teens just starting out, or for anyone who wants an extra layer of backup with tampons or menstrual cups on heavier days.

If you’re a frequent pool swimmer, Funkita’s chlorine-resistant period swimwear is a fantastic choice, offering durability and long-lasting performance even with regular pool use.

Explore Splash Swimwear’s collection of Love Luna and Funkita period swimwear and enjoy peace of mind, whether you’re at the beach or the pool.
